For the Bride and Groom

Next week my cousin Michael is marrying his partner Jessica in Adelaide. I am lucky enough to have been able to rearrange my work schedule and make the trip down for the wedding, I can't wait!

So today I made my favourite cousin a Wedding card. I had a very clear picture in my head of what this card was going to look like, however the result is nothing like what I planned. Still happy with the final outcome though.

The stamp I used is "Just Married" from Fern Gully Stamps. They are an Australian company. When I was a sales rep for Kidston Crafts I was lucky enough to visit their Victorian store. Needless to say I think I bought more from them than they ordered from me that day.

I coloured the image with Copics and also added some Twinkling H2O to the wedding dress

The papers are from Prima Marketing's Reflections Collection. I used a rub-on from Making Memories "for the bride and groom". I did have a really cool tag for here instead - a swing tag from something I bought at Colorado. Unfortunately when I stamped on it the image didn't work so I had to come up with something else. The metal anchors are from Bumblebee Crafts and the flowers and ribbon are from my ever growing stash.

You can see a hint of the Twinkling H20's in this pic. Such a cute couple... just like Michael and Jess.

"How Do I Love Thee?"

The first stamp I ever bought was "How Do I Love Thee?" by Penny Black from Blossies Scrapbooking in Morayfield almost 10 years ago.

I remember coming home with my new stamp, watercolour pencils and  spending hours perfecting my colouring with my water colour brush. Now days I use Copics but I still love this stamp. This one stamp lead to a rather large collection of Penny Blacks and a new shelf in the craft room to house them all!

The new challenge over at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog is Crafty Bargains.... Just perfect for my cute little stamp and my bargain of the summer - a pack of 100 paper doilies for $1.50

I haven't used this stamp in ages and loved colouring him in again.

I used Copic's E51, E11, E13, E15, R20, RV32, RV35 C1, C3, BV23, R24, R24 and R29 on the Penny Black stamp.
Even Jasmine approves of this creation, either that or she wants me to stop creating and feed her!

"You are So Handsome"

I really am beginning to have a slight Magnolia addiction. This Edwin stamp "Edwin wants a Hug" is just too cute!
The paper I used is double sided paper from My Minds Eye - Breeze "Boyish" Handsome. The cardstock is Bazzil which I have distressed and inked with "vintage photo" distress ink. How does everyone else distress their cardstock? I use my metal ruler to roughen up the edges. I feel it gives it a nice non-uniform look.
I just love the blue glitter. The crown is a brad from Delish Designs "mulberry crown". These have been sitting in my craft stash for years.
Edwin is coloured with Copics E50, E51, R20, T1, C3, C5, C7, B21, B93, B97, R27, R29, E13, E15 and E17.

Colour Create Challenge # 88 Pink & Green

I just LOVE the Simply Gorjuss stamps and decided "Waiting" would be just perfect for my entry into the Colour Create Challenge. The challenge is to use the colours green and pink (not a combo I would normally use) with the optional extra of hand made flowers.
I expanded my copics range on Saturday after a visit to Julie at Creations in Paper in Maroochydore. I now finally have some cool greys and a few more pinks. This is my first attempt at black hair and I am very pleased with the result.

My handmade flower took me forever, but it didn't help that I had no idea what I was doing and that it was 1am! Not a bad effort considering. The other flowers are from my op shop stash.

TOMIC # 32 - Monochromatic pink + bow

I bought my first Magnolia Ink stamp 12months ago and am now hooked! I have decided to enter my first challenge at Tomic and join other addicted Magnolia Ink stampers in sharing my creations.
The challenge is to use pink as the main colour and to also add a bow somewhere.
I am not a big lover of pink cards so this was a bit of a challenge. First step was to colour in my stamp. I have used one of my new Magnolia Ink stamps from the Winter Stamp Club "Tilda with Flowers"
Second Step is to empty all my possible supplies onto my craft table so I can grab at will! Then the fun begins...
I am pleased with the final card. The flowers are from my op shop travels, the card, paper and ribbon are from my scraps. I've inked the edges with Distress Inks Vintage Photo. The i love you rub on is old stock from my years as a TLC Consultant. I've also added kindy glitz to the flowers and some Kaiser pearls.
Op shops are the best place for  flowers and lace. I just buy fake bunches of flowers and pull them apart.
Still need a bit of work on my copic colouring. I think I need a couple more lighter pinks. Love an excuse to go buy more copics!
